Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 34:7
And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
Reflections: At 40 years, he left Egypt (Acts 7:23). At 80 years, he was called by God to go back to Egypt to deliver Israel from Egyptian enslavement (Acts 7:30). Now, Moses lay dead at the old age of 120 years. He had ably discharged his duties of freeing the people of Israel and was close to entering the land of Canaan. It was observed at the time of his death that his eyesight wasn’t impaired and he was still vigorous and strong in body. Ageing could not have a toll on his eyesight and physical strength as evident in others. By his testimony, it is clear that the limiting effects of old age can be controlled by the power of God to enable one to have the needed strength and sight to complete their divine assignment. The blessings of Asher as pronounced on him by Moses (Deut 33:25) and the testimony of Caleb (Joshuah 14: 10-12) confirms this. Like Moses, to enable you to accomplish your assignment on earth, the power of God will take care of any limitations ageing can ever impose on you.
Prayer: Dear Lord, let your power take care of the limitations that ageing can ever impose on my life.
Confession: As my days so shall my strength be.
