Scripture Reading: Act 18:15-16
But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look ye to it; for I will be no judge of such matters. And he drave them from the judgment seat.
Reflections: Paul lived in Corinth for a year and a half teaching them the word of God. Suddenly the Jews took a swipe at him and his ministry and subpoenaed him to the court of Gallio, the proconsul of Achaia. They accused him of teaching people to worship God outside what they believed and and prayed the court to place an injunction on his ministry. They knew they were going to win the case by all means. However just as Paul was about to respond to the accusations, Gallio stepped in and dismissed the case as foolish. He didn’t even need Paul to stage his defense at all. He further humiliated the accusers by driving them out of the court. Out of envy, people may gang up against you and seek to stop you from manifesting your destiny. But the God of Paul is your God too. He will stop them in their tracks and have them humiliated in your presence. God will surely silence and humiliate destiny resistors in your life.
Prayer: Oh God, arise and stop my destiny resistors in their tracks. Let them be humiliated!
Confession: The God of Paul is my God too! Destiny resistors in my life shall be overthrown and humiliated.
