Scripture Joshua 2:4 And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:
Reflections: The two spies spent by Joshua to survey Jericho found themselves in trouble. The King of Jericho had found out who they were and had sent his soldiers to arrest them. The spies quickly took refuge in the house of a woman by name Rahab. Anything could have happened but strangely, the woman hid them and ensured their safe and quick escape later on. She even daringly misled the soldiers with false information regarding their whereabouts. Even though she had every opportunity to betray the spies in the spirit of patriotism and national security she rather allowed the will of God to prevail. Like the spies, as you execute your divine mission on earth, you may find yourself in a threatened situation but your ‘Rahab’ will ensure that you are not handed over to the will of your enemies (Psalm 31:8). You will escape every threat and danger!
Prayer: Oh Lord, May I never be handed over to the will of my enemies. Let my ‘Rahab’ be up to the task.
Confession: By divine provision, my ‘Rahab’ will never hand me over to the will of my enemies.
