Thursday, 10th March 2022: You will triumph over your enemies!

Scripture Reading: Esther 6:10
Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king’s gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.

Reflections: After constructing the 75 feet high gallows to have Mordecai hanged on, Haman left off to ask for the king’s permission to carry out this mission. Things turned to the contrary when he arrived at the palace. Just before he could put in his request, the king asked for his opinion on what will constitute the best reward for a loyal citizen. Thinking he was the one to receive this reward, he outlined the best package ever. He had no idea that the king had Mordecai in mind. As the king ordered him to bestow the honor on Mordecai, he knew his evil plans had been overthrown. Though he had come for permission to kill Mordecai, here he was now leading the process to promote him. God has a way of disappointing your enemies! Just like Mordecai, those who scheme against you will end up decorating and honouring you! You will triumph over your enemies!

Prayers: Oh Lord, let me triumph over my enemies in Jesus’ name.

Confession: Those who scheme against me will end up decorating and honouring my life.
