Sunday, 21st February 2016: It is not over: All you need to do is to obey the WORD in spite of!

Scripture Reading: Luke 5:6
And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

Reflection: It was over after having toiled all night to no avail. Simon Peter had given up his hope of ever catching fish that night. He was surprised when Jesus looked at him and instructed him to launch his fishing net one more time into the sea. He decided to obey this WORD in spite of the failures he had encountered. He was rewarded with an unprecedented catch of fish. Keep to God’s word no matter how frustrating your condition may be. The turn around will surely set in. Nothing rewards like the word of God! From Peter’s story, the lesson is clear-It is not over: All you need to do is to obey the WORD in spite of! No wonder, before the water turned into wine at the wedding at Canaan, Mary told the people -‘whatever he tells you, do it'(John 2:5)

Confession: I will Keep to God’s word no matter how frustrating my condition may be. I know I will see his glory.
