Scripture Reading: Isaiah 6:5
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts
Reflection:: He could not tell what happened but suddenly his physical eyes could see into the spiritual. The sight he was beholding was just overwhelming. On that glorious and majestic throne was God. Six winged angelic beings proclaiming the words Holy, Holy, Holy surrounded the throne. As one angel cried out, the door posts of the temple moved and smoke filled the whole room. At once, Isaiah became aware that he was sinful. Fear gripped him as he began to acknowledge that he was ‘a man of unclean lips’ . For sure, the presence of God had made Isaiah aware of his sinful nature and had brought him the needed conviction to live a changed life. Encountering God’s presence in life is vital. One of the things it does is to enable you assess your life with the view of identifying and forsaking any act of sin. It puts you on the path of holiness!. Church services, Bible study times, prayer meetings etc etc are channels of encountering God’s presence and knowing his will for your life.
Don’t ever miss it when you have to be in God’s presence. It’s your opportunity for continuous self-assessment for sustained covenant relationship with God.
Prayer: Dear Lord, may I never miss it when I have to be in your presence.
Confession: I will never miss it when I have to be in God’s presence. God’s presence makes me whole. It convicts me of sin and helps me walk in holiness. No one can keep me away from God’s presence.
