And his name through faith in His name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by Him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Reflection: As the crowd gathered around the healed man and wondered how on earth his healing could have taken place, Peter seized the opportunity to preach. In his sermon, he submitted that faith in the name of Jesus was responsible for the healing. Peter had actually commanded the man who hitherto could not walk to rise up in the name of Jesus. This shows that there is power in the name of Jesus and that it will take someone who has a relationship with HIM to exercise faith to turn the power loose to affect conditions. As a child of God, you have the name of Jesus available for your use. However in using the name, you must do so in faith. Faith is what will draw out its power to work miracles to the glory of God. Get ready! The name of Jesus will work a miracle for you and people you come into contact with.
