Scripture Reading: Jeremiah : 38:10
Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from hence thirty men with thee, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he die.

Reflection: Jeremiah was cast into the dungeons by his enemies. He soon discovered that the ground was miry. He began to sink with each tick of the clock. Clearly the plan of his enemies was to see him submerged in the miry clay to the point of death. As this plan seemed to perhaps near its final state of execution, there was a sudden turn around. Through Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, God rescued Jeremiah! The king had granted his request to free Jeremiah at that crucial hour. Sometimes events may make you feel that nothing could be done about a condition prevailing in your life. But remember that by God, You can come out of that condition. Yes you can come out of any difficult condition! The God of Jeremiah is your God! He has the power to turn things round at anytime no matter what! He is working it out for you!
