Scripture Reading: Luke 10:21
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
Reflection: His disciples, 70 in all at the time, had succeeded in going out to preach, heal and bring deliverance to people. As they reported over what they had been able to do on the mission field, Jesus saw Satan fall like lightening from heaven. What a joyful sight it was in the spirit. It spelt out clear victory for kingdom advancement. The entire success of the missions endeavor of the disciples so filled Jesus with extreme joy in his spirit. Things had gone exactly as he expected. When things go exactly as you expect, you become joyful. Indeed the Holy Spirit can make you extremely joyful by causing things to go as you expect. Why don’t you submit all pertinent issues bothering you to him in prayer. Like Jesus, he will bring you into that hour where you will rejoice in your spirit! Yes you will come into that hour when you can’t help but proclaim ‘The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage’-Psalm 16:6. Victory is coming! Joy is coming!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that you will cause me to be extremely joyful in life. You will make the lines to fall in pleasant places for my life.
Confession: I am filled with extreme joy. My expectations will not fail. The lines will fall in pleasant places for my life by the power of the Holy Spirit. Glory Haleluia!
