Scripture Reading:
Esther 2:7-8
And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
Reflection: Esther (a Persian name) was originally called Haddasah (a Jewish name). Why will a Jewish girl drop off her name in favour of a foreign one? It is clear from the story that the change in name plus her ability to speak the Persian language without trace strategically POSITIONED Esther to register for the beauty contest reserved for only Persian citizens. She won and became Queen by favor. What a POSITIONING! In the field of marketing ‘positioning’ refers to the way a product is strategical placed so that it attracts the needed market. What do you think you must do now which will one day place you in a position to access an opportunity in the future? Let the Holy Spirit guide you. Remember, sometimes just as it happened in the case of Esther, favor may not be the only thing that you need. You will also need a strategic positioning in life! Make it happen and you will be on ‘TOP’ in life.
Confession: Lord help me position my life in readiness to access opportunities in the future.
