Scripture Reading: Exo 6:9
And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
Reflections: When Moses arrived in Egypt to bring deliverance to Israel, he found his people in a hopeless state. They were so anguished in spirit that they had lost all hope of ever encountering freedom. Due to this, they failed to cooperate with him at the initial stages. Hope is a ‘feeling of expectation and a desire for something to happen’. It represents possibility. It keeps you high spirited in the midst of challenges and enables you to keep looking out for a way of escape. Its absence has the power to delay or halt your breakthroughs in life. Like it happened to the people of Israel, the lack of hope can disengage you from cooperating with the word of God and this can lead to the delay of your miracle. Keep your hope alive!
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to keep hope alive in my life.
Confession: I am hopeful in life. I hope in His word.
