Scripture Reading: Gen 26:22
And he removed from thence, and digged another well, and for that, they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now, the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land
Reflections: God prospered and made Isaac great in the land of Gerar. However, there were difficulties he had to surmount. The Philistines envied and contended with him over wells of water. When he dug the first well, they took it away from him. He proceeded to dig a second well. They snatched It away too. Relentlessly, he moved in to dig the third well. This time, the Philistines did not resist him. It is clear from Isaac’s behaviour that should the Philistines had taken over the third well, he would have continued to dig another one. This speaks of a resilient attitude. Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties and to strive to achieve results. It causes your enemies to give up on you. To achieve uncommon results in life, you must be anchored with a resilient spirit.
Prayer: In the name of Jesus, I declare that I am resilient in character.
Confession: I am anchored in life with a resilient spirit.
