Scripture Reading: Luk 13:12
And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Reflections: As Jesus was teaching in the synagogue, she noticed a woman who walked in a bowed position. She was bent as she walked. Her body had been kept in this posture for 18 years. Jesus realized it was as a result of an evil spirit. In essence this sickness of a bent back did not occur naturally but had been influenced by a spirit. Jesus rebuked the spirit and the sickness saying “ woman thou art loosed from thine infirmity (sickness). Thereafter he laid his hands on her and instantly she straightened up. To be ‘loosed’ means to be ‘disengaged from something’. Like the woman, you too can be loosed from any health disabling spirit in your life. Yes, you too can be loosed from any sickness! Don’t forget that it is not all sicknesses that occur naturally. Some as per the case of the woman are spiritually driven. Be healed in Jesus name as you proclaim freedom from any health disabling spirit holding you bound.

Prayer:  Let any spirit that disables my health be disengaged from my body in Jesus name.

Confession:  I am loosed from any sickness by divine authority in the name of Jesus. My health can no longer be disabled by any spirit.
