Scripture Reading: Luke 1: 41-43
And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
Reflection: Mary had been informed by an Angel that she will be overshadowed by the power of the Most High. She leaves her home in haste to visit Elizabeth, her cousin. Unknowing to her an unusual thing was about to happen. The power of the highest overshadowing her was going to trigger this surprise. When she arrived in the house, She shouted across to greet Elizabeth . As soon as Elizabeth heard the voice of Mary, the unimaginable happened! She was moved to do something she had never done before. She prophesied with accuracy about the favor upon Mary and the life within her womb. What a shock! Mary’s voice and presence had served as an activator, stirring her up to function in the divine will. In your christian walk, God expects you to function as a divine activator for his will to be done in lives and over conditions. We are reminded by Paul to provoke one another unto good works (Hebrews 10:23). A divine activator provokes people unto good works . Ask God to make you a divine activator. The power of the Most High shall surely overshadow you!
Prayer: Oh Lord, make me a divine activator! Let your power overshadow me.
Confession: My life is overshadowed by the power of the most High. My life shall serve as a divine activator. Wherever I go, by my presence and voice, people will step into their prophetic destinies and perform the will of God.
