Scripture Reading: Isaiah:11:2-3
And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Reflections: Isaiah points us to the example of Christ when it comes to making judgments in life or forming opinions about people. In his prophetic submission, he notes unequivocally that the saviour was not going to be driven by merely what His eyes will see or what His ears will hear but would rather be led by the Holy Spirit, the agent of all all wisdom, understanding, counsel, might and knowledge. The Holy Spirit is the one who knows it all and He is available to help you. The words of Apostle John ‘ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things’ (1John 2:20) sums it up all. Don’t ever be moved by what you see or hear until it is validated by the Holy Spirit!
Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, lead me in life.
Confession: What I see or hear will not move me until it is validated by the Holy Spirit.
