Scripture Reading : Isaiah 61:7
For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them
Reflection : Isaiah had a message for the people of Israel. The prophetic message indicated a divine decision to favor them in an unprecedented manner. Not only were they going to be delivered from their afflictions but were also going to be compensated with a double portion. Shame was going to be replaced with double honor. God’s response to our afflictions is indeed dramatic! Thus we should not give up when pressured by life’s circumstances but hold on expectantly for that hour of deliverance which comes with a double compensation. Job experienced it (Job 42:12-17). Your deliverance is surely coming with a double package of compensation! Give God a shout of praise!
Prayer: Oh Lord let me encounter your deliverance that comes with a double package of compensation.
Confession: The power of affliction is broken over my life. I experience deliverance that comes with a double package of compensation. Glory to God!
