Scripture Reading: Judges 6:12
And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.
Reflections: Gideon threshed wheat in a wine press while hiding in the highlands out of fear of the tyrannical Midianites. One day, he encountered an angel of God who referred to him as a mighty man of valour. The term “valour” originates from the Latin word “valorem,” which signifies gallantry or the mental fortitude required to confront peril with resolute determination. You may also feel afraid and believe that escaping a terrifying situation is impossible, but God sees you otherwise. He regards you as a mighty man of valor (forceful individual of bravery). You will conquer the fears and worries that prevent you from moving forward as you come to understand who God sees in you and start living from that perspective.
Prayer: Oh Lord, let me live according to your perception of who I am.
Confession: I live according to God’s perception of me.
