Scripture Reading: Psalm 91:4-5 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day!
Reflections: It is frightening to realize that evil activities can occur at any time of the day or night, orchestrated by the enemy. The Psalmist describes these actions as the night’s terrors and the day’s arrows. However, he emphasizes that despite these wicked and terrifying deeds, one can remain protected and continue with one’s everyday life. This is because God’s protective covering shields the individual and renders the enemy’s attacks useless. To enjoy this protection, one must walk in the divine will and confidently remember God’s promise to be their shield and buckler. Maintaining this self-assurance throughout the day and night makes you fearless, automatically activating the needed divine protection, which allows you to go unharmed. Stay fearless, no matter the time of day or night!
