Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 3:16-17
And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches. For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.
Reflections: After travelling around for seven days, the army run short of water supply. They became weak and this placed them at a great risk of suffering defeat at the hands of the Moabite army. In this state of hopelessness however, Elisha the prophet came to the scene. As divinely directed, he asked them to dig big pits all around the valley. Something unconventional was going to take place. Without the natural protocol of rain having to fall, the pits were going to be filled with water. True to Elisha’s prophecy, the dug out pits were found to be filled supernaturally with water the following morning. The army drunk, got revived and marched into battle victoriously. Like the army, you may run short of some critical resources in life which can bring you to a point of danger or disgrace but you can trust God to turn things around. Remember God does not need to follow a natural protocol to meet your needs. This is why all things are possible with Him. Believe Him for the impossible!
Prayer: Lord, I thank you that you don’t need to follow a natural protocol to be able to meet my needs.
Confession: All things are possible with my God.
