Scripture Reading: 2 Ki 10:30 And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel
Reflections: It all began when he was called into an inner chamber by the prophet and anointed as king. He noted his scope of work as defined by the prophetic word and got to work immediately. He wiped out the entire family of Ahab, supervised the killing of Jezebel, abolished completely Baal worship and consequently killed all baal worshippers and priests. He did not allow anything to sway or to stop him from delivering on his expected outcomes. Indeed he did not waste time at all. God commended and rewarded him for the seriousness and the swiftness with which he responded to the demands of his prophetic destiny. The throne of Israel was reserved for his children for four generations. For God to appreciate him in that manner, it is enough to conclude that people who are time wasters will not find themselves in the good books of God. Learn from Jehu and don’t waste time when you have divine assignments to undertake.
Prayer: Oh Lord, help me position myself as someone who does not waste time in executing any assigned task.
Confession : I excecute given tasks timely and efficiently. I don’t waste time at all
