Scripture Reading: Mark 5:8
For He said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
Reflections: As Jesus walked into Gadarenes, the mad man whom no one could tame met him. He was known to be very violent, cutting himself with stones and tearing up chains which were meant to restrict him. Jesus looked at him and rebuked the evil spirit at work in him. Instantly he was healed of his insanity. Jesus thus involved Himself in a spiritual warfare. This story hints that much as there are problems originating in the physical and affecting lives physically, there are others which though encountered in the physical are masterminded by evil spirits in the spiritual realm. By casting out the evil spirit which resulted in the healing of the mad man, we get to further understand that whereas physical problems instigated by physical means can be resolved by physical intervention, those masterminded in the spirit can only be dealt with by spiritual warfare. In effect, spiritual warfare problems can only be solved by spiritual warfare. Learn to take up your spiritual weapons [1 Corinthians 10:3-5] like Jesus did and deal with any spiritual warfare motivated problem in your life. Victory through Jesus awaits you (Luke 10:19).
Prayer: Lord, I thank you that I can deal with spiritual warfare problems with the spiritual weapons you have given me.
Confession: I am not naive. I confront spiritual warfare problems with spiritual warfare. By the weapons of my warfare which are not carnal but spiritual, I prevail over all spiritually orchestrated problems against my life.
