Saturday, 25th September 2021: How guiltless and innocent have you been?

Scripture Reading:Act 18:6
And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

Reflections: Paul was having a great time with his ministry to the Jews at Corinth. A section of the Jews however, began to oppose him. He came under such strong attacks that brought the ministry to a halt. Paul knew he had done his part. He tells them ‘ Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean’ and departs from that region. This implies that God would have required the blood of the people from Paul if he had not declared the salvation message to them. The call to share Christ with unbelievers can therefore, not be taken lightly especially with those that God personally leads us to talk to. It appears He will hold us responsible once they miss their salvation. Can you like Paul, be bold enough to say you are clean (guiltless and innocent). How guiltless and innocent have you been?

Prayer: Dear Lord, please forgive me for the people I have failed to share the gospel with. Empower me to declare your love and salvation to all you will lead me to.

Confession:I share God’s love with unbelievers that God brings my way.
