Scripture Reading: Esther 3:7
In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar
Reflections: Haman became enraged when Mordecai refused to kneel and bow down to him. As a result, he plotted to murder him and his Jewish brethren. He enlisted the help of the demonic realm to determine the best day and month to carry out his plan. The twelfth month, Adar, was indicated to him as the best time, using the pur, a system for casting the lot. Thus, on the Jews’ blind side, a date had been set and imbued with demonic projections to mark their annihilation. This plan, however, backfired, as they fasted and prayed (Esther 4:16;9:1). Although your enemies, using demonic agents, can manipulate days and months of their choice to bring you evil, their plans will boomerang as you take a stand in prayer.
Prayer: Oh God of days, weeks and months, let demonic projections made into any day, week or month against my life backfire.
Confession: Evil projections made into any day, week or month against my life will backfire.
