Scripture Reading: 1Pe 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Reflections: Salvation is often discussed in relation to one giving their life to Jesus Christ and accepting Him as their Lord and personal savior. Peter however in his epistle, appears to point the church out to another kind of salvation which is soon coming. By indicating that this salvation will take place in the ‘last time’, he meant to classify it as the final salvation. Thus our current salvation through the blood of Jesus gives us the license to participate in the soon coming final salvation. This final salvation (the rapture of the saints to heaven) must therefore never leave your focus. It demands that you continue with a life of holiness through faith and the power of God until it takes place (1 Peter 1:13-23). The final salvation is surely imminent. It is fast approaching!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me focus on the final salvation and to get ready for it.

Confession: I have the final salvation in focus. I will not miss it.
