Scripture Reading: Psalm 114:7-8
Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
Reflections: The journey had been long and tiring. At this point in the wilderness, they needed water badly to drink. Looking around there was nothing except a rock which appeared so irrelevant to their needs. What they needed was a fountain of water. As Moses prayed to God for a divine intervention, God turned his attention to the seemingly irrelevant rock and asked him to command water to come out of it. As he complied, the rock produced a fountain of water to address the needs of the entire multitude! (Exodus 17:5-6). What is irrelevant and insignificant around you, can be used by God to address your need.
Prayer: Oh Lord, you are so wonderful. You meet my needs through ways I lesst expect.
Confession: God meets my needs miraculously.
