Scripture Reading: Matthew 2:13
And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Reflection: Soon after the visit of the wisemen, Joseph and Mary encountered another surprise. This time it came through a dream in which Joseph was warned by an angel to migrate to Egypt with his family because Herod was planning to kill the child Jesus. Herod could not therefore take them by surprise. As you walk in obedience to Gods will, He will not allow your enemies to take you by surprise. He will give you a glipmse into the future or endow you with foresightedness regarding their evil plans. With this divine foresight, you will escape their evil plot. Thank God that you are enabled with this special grace!
