Scripture Reading: John 11:11
These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep

Reflections: When you sleep, your body goes to rest. At that point, you cannot involve yourself in any routine activity. Death operates in the same vein, except it signals the end of all actions forever. Either way, both sleep and death disengage you from what you can do until you can come out of their grip. Lazarus, a friend of Jesus, fell ill and died. Jesus referred to his demised state as having gone to sleep and announced that he would wake him up. Jesus astounded the crowd when He indeed resurrected him from the dead. This implies that the power to wake up any ‘condition’, whether in ‘asleep’ or ‘dead’ mode, is possible with God. God can turn around any situation!

Prayer: Oh Lord, let every ‘asleep’ and ‘dead’ condition in my life be turned around by your power.

Confession: Every dead condition in my life is turned around by the power of resurrection in Jesus’s name.
