Scripture Reading: Genesis 15:13-14
“Then He said to Abram: ‘Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.’”

Reflections: God’s covenant with Abram not only guaranteed his descendants the land of Canaan but also disclosed their future, including 400 years of bondage in a foreign land. However, God reassured Abram of their eventual freedom and departure with great wealth. This was fulfilled when the Israelites were led out of Egypt by Moses (Exodus 12:40-41), with the total time from promise to fulfillment spanning around 645 years. This story highlights that God knows the future, and His plans unfold at the right time. You can find assurance in knowing that, regardless of challenges or uncertainties, God is fully aware of what lies ahead and remains committed to leading you through it. Just as He fulfilled His promise to Abram’s descendants, you can trust in God’s faithful guidance, confident that He is in control of your future.
