Saturday, 21st March 2020: Sometimes the only way out is to let go!

Scripture Reading: Exodus 5:1-2 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

Reflections: Pharaoh had in his possession the nation of Israel. Moses was sent by God to ask him to let them go. Pharaoh however refused. Until he yielded, his kingdom was plagued with one calamity after the other. The last plague got every first born creature of his kingdom including his own son dead. Like Pharaoh, sometimes we come into possession of things that God will not approve of. As long as we hold on to these things, we will encounter troubles. The only way out is to let go. The Philistines for instance had this experience when they took the ark of God home (1Sam 5:1-12 & 6). Are you going through some troubles? Check from God what you may have in your life which he disapproves of. Perhaps, it is time to let go!.

Prayer: Lord help me let go of anything in my life that you have not approved.

Confession: I will not hold back anything that God disapproves. I will always let go.
