Scripture Reading: Luke 1:7&13
And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
Reflections: It’s been years since since Zacharias and Elizabeth got married. Barrenness had sought to rob them of their joy in marriage. Looking at their lives now, they knew they had both gone past the child bearing age. Having come to this realization, it would have been normal for Zacharias to loose his conviction in believing God for a child but amazingly he did not. He kept on praying! This sustained conviction attracted the needed divine response. God heard his cry for a child and sent angel Gabriel to bring him this good news. Sustained conviction in prayer will surely make the impossible possible in your life. Keep praying for that miracle in spite of!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that you are a prayer answering God.
Confession: I will not waiver in my convictions to believe God for a miracle.
