Scripture Reading: Num 9:17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
Reflections: During their 40-year journey through the wilderness, which got them to Canaan, Israel was led by a cloud that rested on or elevated from the Tabernacle. The Tabernacle was a portable structure constructed in accordance with God’s instructions as a place of worship and sacrifice (Exodus 25). It contained the ark of the covenant, which represented God’s presence. When the cloud above the Tabernacle lifted, the Israelites would break camp and follow it. The cloud served as their GPS, signifying when to travel, in what direction, and when to rest. GPS is a ‘utility that provides positioning, navigation, and timing services to its users’. Your life, like Israel’s, is a temple of God (1 Corinthians 16:19–20), and as long as God’s presence abides within you, you will not stray from your providential path to fulfill your destiny and God’s promises for your life. The Holy Spirit will demonstrate that He is greater than a GPS!
Prayer: Oh Holy Spirit, lead me in this journey of life.
Confession: I am led by the Holy in the journey of life.
