Scripture Reading: Zec 5:7-8
And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

Reflections: In his vision, Zechariah saw what appeared to be a basket floating above a particular location. When the lid of the basket was removed, it was immediately apparent that it was transporting a female passenger. An Angel of the Lord, having recognized and labeled this woman as “wickedness,” hurriedly covered the basket with its lid in an effort to secure its contents as swiftly as possible. Because of this, the path of wickedness was blocked, and it was prevented from threatening the lives of other people. It is abundantly obvious that when evil is being plotted from the world of wicked spirits against innocent lives, angels of God stand ready to close such open gateways of wickedness. Any basket of evil generating difficulties in your life will have its lid pulled down and driven away by divine intervention. You will be protected from harm by the intervention of angels!

Prayer: Oh Lord, let your angel shut and drive away from my life any open basket of wickedness.

Confession: Wickedness will be far away from me.
