Scripture Reading: John 7:1
After these things, Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
Reflections: Jesus changed His travel plans at a certain point in time. Despite being anointed, He decided not to go to Judea when He realised He could be killed before His time. He then limited His travels and ministry to Galilee, ensuring He lived long enough to fulfil His destiny. We should strive to follow Jesus’ example of wisdom, shown by His farsightedness. Farsightedness means having a prudent awareness of future possibilities, which can help us make informed decisions. It provides cues that can alert us to potential dangers or opportunities. To navigate life successfully, we need to operate with farsightedness and pay attention to the cues it presents.
Prayer: God, please give me foresight and wisdom.
Confession: I am wise. I operate with far-sightedness.
