Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 15:28 (KJV)
“And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.”
Reflections: King Saul’s disobedience and desire to please people over God led to his rejection. Despite clear instructions, Saul spared King Agag and the best livestock, justifying his actions instead of repenting. As a result, God chose David, a man after His heart, to fulfill His plans. This reminds us that God’s purpose is never hindered by human failure. If we fail to obey, God will raise someone else better than us to accomplish His will. What matters most is a heart devoted to Him, not titles or abilities.
Prayer: Lord, help me to prioritize Your will and walk in obedience, with a heart that honors You always. Amen.
Confession: I choose obedience and faithfulness. My heart seeks to honor God in all I do.
