Saturday, 14th January 2017: You must live to glorify God!

Scripture Reading: John 17:4
I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

Reflection: Prior to his crucifixion, Jesus went out to pray. In his prayer He confidently informs God that His stay on earth has not fallen short of bringing glory to Him. ‘ I have glorified thee on this earth’, He tells God. To glorify means to honor. A life lived to honor God is what is expected of everyone. It is the very duty of man as confirmed by Solomon in the words ‘Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man’-Eccl 12:13. Don’t stop glorifying God with your life. Like Jesus you must leave behind a legacy of having honored God with your life. Choose to do what pleases God all the time.

Prayer: Oh Lord, help me live a life that honors you all the time and throughout my lifetime.

Confession: I live to glorify God with my life. I choose to do what pleases God all the time.
