Scripture Reading: Gen 12:17
And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife.

Reflections: Abram arrived in Egypt on his way to the promised land. His wife, Sarah was so strikingly beautiful that she attracted the attention of the Egyptians. Even the king of Egypt could not resist her looks. Unknowing to him that Sarah was married to Abram, the king hosted her in the royal palace where she was given the best of accommodation. Abram could not convey the truth about his wife to the king since he feared he would be killed. God however, stepped in to help him out. He began to afflict the house of the king with strange diseases until they knew that keeping Sarah in their custody was the source of their calamity. Quickly, they let go of her. Abram was thus restored of what was taken away from him. God knows how to protect the interests of your life. Like Abram, He will deal with those who infringe on what is yours until they let go of it!. As a covenant child of God, you will not be dispossessed and cheated in life! You remain the apple of God’s eye (Psalm 17:8)

Prayer: Oh Lord, step into any situation I find myself in where I am being dispossed and protect every interest of my life.

Confession: I am in covenant with God. God watches over every interest of my life.
