Saturday, 11th March 2017: You will be compensated for your faithfulness!

Scripture Reading: 1Samuel 2:20-21
And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home.
And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.

Reflection : Hannah arrived at the temple with his little boy, Samuel. She was filled with gratitude and had come to hand him over to Eli, the priest. This was in fulfillment to her vow that she would give back the child to God to serve Him all the days of his life. By this action, Hannah was demonstrating her faithfulness. It seemed as if she had ‘lost’ her only son but it turned out not to be so. As Eli received Samuel from her hands, he blessed her and asked God to compensate her for her action of faithfulness. In response, God as the divine compensator, caused Hannah to give birth to five more children (three sons and two daughters). A woman who had been barren could now boast of many children! What a divine compensation! Like Hannah, remain faithful in whatever you do for God and in whatever you tell Him you will do to advance His kingdom. You will surely be compensated for your faithfulness!

Prayer: Oh Lord, help me to be faithful to you in all my ways. Let me encounter every divine compensation that accompanies faithfulness.

Confession: I know God compensates His children for their acts of faithfulness. I will remain faithful to Him. I will never miss my package of divine compensation in this life.
