Scripture Reading Isaiah 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

Reflections: Israel found herself under affliction. They needed to be redeemed. The promise was made about a coming redeeemer but it was indicated that the redemptive plan and power will only favor those who make a decision to turn from transgression (sin). To turn from transgression implies living a repentant life. True repentance takes place when there has been a change of mind that results in a sustained change of action. Mere confession of sin without a change in action or behavior remains a fruitless venture. Clearly to attract the saving and the miracle hand of God, true repentance has to be practiced. Keep walking in true repentance!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me walk in true repentance
