Scripture Reading: 2 Thessalonians 1:6
Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
Reflection: The christians at Thessalonica were facing a lot of persecutions and suffering many troubles. Yet in this condition they were resolute in their faith and kept on worshipping God fervently. The Apostle Paul commends them for their strong faith and urged them to continue therein reminding them that God will pay back those who trouble them with more tribulation ( more troubles)!. This is an act of the righteousness of God, he tells them. Don’t forget this righteous act of God too. Yes God will punish those who pursue your life with troubles. The Egyptian army whom God punished and drowned in the Red Sea is a perfect example ( Exodus 14:23-28). Don’t give up the faith walk because of troubles you may be encountering. Keep moving. At the right time God will manifest his righteous act of recompensing tribulation to them that trouble you!
Prayer: Oh Lord, manifest your righteous act of recompensing tribulation to them that trouble me!
Confession: I will not give up the faith in spite of troubles I encounter. I am moving on until the trumpet sounds. Those who are the source of my troubles will surely be rewarded by God with more troubles.
