Monday, 9th January 2023: Learn to see as God sees!

Scripture Reading: Luke 8:50.
And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. And he put them all out, took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

Reflections: Jairus asked Jesus to heal his daughter at his home. As they neared Jairus’s house, a servant informed them that Jesus’s visit was unnecessary as the girl had died. Jesus continued, insisting the youngster would heal. He saw things differently. On arrival, He found everybody mourning. He asked them to stop since the girl was only asleep. Again, it was apparent that He had a different perspective. He ordered them out and was left alone with his disciples. At this point, He summoned the dead girl to rise. The dead girl was resurrected without any evidence of the fatal illness. It all began with Jesus seeing differently from what the prevailing condition presented. This is the realm of faith. It helps you see like God and changes conditions. See like God!

Prayer; Dear Lord, help me to see you as you see.

Confession: I see as God sees! I cannot be limited in this life.
