Scripture Reading: Psalm 23:1
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Reflection: In the world of shepherding, the sheep, domesticated as we know, lives a life entirely dependent on the shepherd. This ensures its safety and survival all year round! You can survive all year round too if you will live with the consciousness that your dependency is on God. Your daily trust and confidence in God is the key. David discovered this as a young shepherd as he provided for his sheep and he proclaimed ‘the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want’! Remain a ‘sheep’ in your walk with God and SURELY goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life!
Prayer: Lord, I thank you that you are my shepherd. I depend entirely on you.
Confession: I depend entirely on God to survive. He is my Shepherd.
