Scripture Reading:Act 4:31
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
Reflections: Peter and John’s boldness was evident when they healed a lame man at the beautiful gate. The rulers were infuriated by this miracle and arrested them, hoping to intimidate them into giving up preaching the gospel. However, this strategy failed as the Apostles boldly declared they would not be silenced. Later, after being released from their cells, the Apostles prayed to the Lord for increased boldness. They understood that boldness, the courage and willingness to take risks and act innovatively, was necessary for success. They knew they could achieve great things by taking bold, Spirit-led decisions and implementing them with all the courage they could muster. Therefore, don’t be afraid to take risks and act boldly; it will lead you to success.
Prayer: Dear Lord, fill me with your Spirit and make me bold in life.
Confession: I refuse to be intimidated in life.
