Scripture Reading: Luke 22:32
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren
Reflections: Jesus perceives an impending satanic attack against Peter. He prays to intervene and consequently informs him about it. Specifically, He tells Peter that ‘ I have prayed that your faith fails not’. From this, it becomes evident that the devil is after your faith. It further establishes faith as something vital for one’s survival. Faith in this context is that unwavering conviction within you that God is supreme, His power surpassing, and He will be the ultimate for your life. With faith, your fellowship with the Lord is enhanced. As a result, once Satan succeeds in wrecking your faith, your destiny will suffer. Like Peter, keep your faith intact no matter the challenges that satan may bring against you. In the end, he will lose, and your destiny will be on course to see fulfilment. Indeed you’ve got to watch out! Satan is after your faith!
Prayer: Oh Lord, help me stand firm in faith no matter what.
Confession: I hold on to my faith.
