Monday, 5th November 2018:Don’t ignore the cues presented to you by ‘far-sightedness’!

Scripture Reading: John 7:1
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

Reflections: Jesus altered his traveling plans at a point in time. In spite of His anointing, when he realized He could be killed in Judea before His time, He refrained from going there. He restricted Himself to traveling and ministering only around Galilee. This action of Jesus is great wisdom worth emulating. It speaks of ‘far-sightedness’. ‘Far-sightedness’ is the ‘showing of prudent awareness of future possibilities’. It provides cues to inform your actions and decisions. A cue is a signal for action. By this you are able to either avoid danger or make use of opportunities. In life, you certainly need to operate with the wisdom of ‘far-sightedness’. Don’t ever ignore the cues it presents to you. If Jesus had done so, he would have walked into trouble and met His untimely death.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to be far-sighted in life and to be informed by the cues it presents.

Confession: I am wise. I operate with far-sightedness. I am guided by the cues it presents. My enemies will never get me.
