Scripture Reading: Acts 4:13
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
Reflections: Peter and John were arrested and arraigned before the Ruling Council at Jerusalem. Their crime was that they had healed the lame man who sat at the gate of the temple. The panel consisting of Rulers, Scribes, Sadducees and Priests were held spellbound as they listened to the defense of Peter. What shocked them was the boldness with which he spoke. They soon discovered the source of Peter’s boldness- his affiliation with Jesus!. Clearly our faith in Christ produces one of the essential life virtues we need-BOLDNESS. The ruling council had no choice than to release Peter and his fellow Apostles. Boldness is one of the results of discipleship (Acts 4:13,29,31; Ephesians 3:12; Philippians 1:20) . Boldness is the opposite of fearfulness. It allows to demonstrate bravery and confidence in dealing with confronting issues. It is your key to overcome intimidating and limiting factors in life. Boldness makes you unstoppable.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that my faith in you produces boldness in my life.
Confession: In Christ I am as bold as a lion. I cannot be intimated in life. I am unstoppable!
