Monday, 3rd January 2022: Go deeper!

Scripture Reading: Psalm 107:23-24
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

Relfections: The psalmist uses an analogy of sailing ships to depict how people can position themselves to encounter the wonders of God. Ships are sailing vessels that are noted to have the capacity to travel long distances over the depths of oceans. There are other smaller sailing vessels such as canoes. But these cannot go as far as the ships can go. Thus depending on the type of sailing vessel you are using, you can either operate in shallow waters or go to the deep seas. However, only those who travel in ships can witness the magnificence of the ocean (wonders of the deep). The Christian walk is just like the use of sea vessels. Those who position their lives to go the extra mile in their spiritual development, create for themselves the vehicle to manifest the power and glory of God in higher dimensions. When you choose to deepen your relationship with God, you are bound to encounter His wonders in life. Go deeper!

Prayer: Oh Lord, help me to go deeper in my spiritual development.

Confession: I refuse a mediocre spiritual development in my life. I go deeper.
