Scripture Reading: Exodus 6:9
And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and cruel bondage.
Reflections: When Moses arrived in Egypt to bring deliverance to Israel, he found his people in a hopeless state. They were so frantic in spirit that they had lost all hope of ever encountering freedom. Due to this, they failed to cooperate with him in the initial stages. Hope is a ‘feeling of expectation and a desire for something to happen. It represents optimism. It keeps you high-spirited amid challenges and enables you to keep looking out for a way of escape. Its absence has the power to delay or halt your breakthroughs in life. Like it happened to the people of Israel, the lack of hope can disengage you from cooperating with the word of God, and this can lead to the delay of your miracle. Never give up hope!
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to keep hope alive in my life.
Confession: I am hopeful in life. I hope in His word.
