Scripture Reading: Genesis 39:6
And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.
Growing up, Joseph did not escape the hardships of life. This comprised character assassination, deep-seated animosity, and envy. Nevertheless, he overcame all of these setbacks to achieve greatness in life. Apart from the divine intervention, he demonstrated other admirable attributes that bolstered his ascent to prominence. Among them was trustworthiness. Throughout his time at Portipher’s house, these admirable quality emerged. Portipher could not help but entrust in his total care the management of his business portfolio. To be trustworthy means you can be relied on as dependable, honest, and truthful. It alludes to integrity, which is the state of being truthful and possessing high moral standards. Be trustworthy no matter what you encounter. Just like Joseph, you’ll make progress.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to demonstrate trustworthiness in life.
Confession: I am trustworthy.
