Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 28:10
And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee

Reflections: Just before the people of Israel crossed the Jordan river to get into Canaan, their promised land, God issued a piece of essential information to them. The core of the message was that God was ready to prosper and protect them in any location as long as they remained obedient to His word. The extent of the prosperity and protection, according to God, will get them marked out as people who are called by His name. Called by His name, therefore, implies an Invocation of the power inherent in the name(s) of God to prosper and protect His children irrespective of their geographical location. As per God’s intimation, His children will thrive and enjoy divine protection so that those around them will confidently confirm that they are truly associated with His name. As a covenant child of God lay hold to God’s word that ‘You are called by His name!’

Prayer: Oh Lord, let it be known that I bear your name!

Confession: I am called by God’s name. I am limitless in life.
