Scripture Reading: 1 Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Reflections: Paul sees into a future event. A trumpet will sound. This will cause a metamorphosis in both the living and the dead. Those dead will rise up from their graves with a new and glorious body. Those alive will also encounter a switch in their physical form. Their current bodies will be replaced with a new and glorious one too. The new and glorious bodies with the capacity to uplift like airplanes will suddenly take flight upwards into the skies. On their way up, they will all meet with the architect of the entire strange but enviable phenomenon, Jesus Christ. It will appear to be a quick meeting in the air where He welcomes them and takes over the captainship of the flight. The flight sends them straight into blissful eternity-heaven! The people partaking in this glorious event were identified by Paul as those who had submitted their lives to Christ and had held on steadfastly to the faith. Do you see yourself as part of them?
Prayer: Dear Lord, I cannot afford to miss meeting up with you in the air. Help me to remain steadfast in the faith as the clock ticks.
Confession: I will not be missing out in the upcoming but soon quick meeting with the Lord in the air. I am holding on steadfastly to the faith.
